Professional Ethical Issues That I Would Face In The Collection, Use, And Sharing/Reporting
Of Data and The Ethical Questions Raised

and report data regarding patients as it is the duty of the healthcare professional to ensure that
illnesses or diseases are reported such that government can take some preventive measures
efore it becomes an epidemic. Let me take an example of tuberculosis.
Tuberculosis is an infectious disease which is air-borne. According to WHO, it is one of
the top 10 causes of death worldwide (McNab, F., Mayer-Ba

O'ga
a, A., 2015). We have to ensure that the number of people who are coming for diagnosis,
the number of people getting admitted for treatment, the number of people who are getting cured
after treatment, the number of people dying during the treatment etc. is noted. Such numbers
along with the effective treatments and medicines with which the patients are getting cured of the
infectious diseases are to be released to the government based groups who are researching on
public health. No personal data regarding the patients will be released as people don’t want to

Benjamini, Y., Day, S., ... &...
