Case scenario:
Fatima is from Lebanon and wants to be a social worker. She has recently moved to Sydney, Australia and has been struggling financially while trying to balance work and university studies. She cu
ently has a part time job in hospitality while studying full time. In her studies to be a social worker, Fatima must complete 1000 hours of placement. Although these placements will allow her to become a social worker and build a career, in the meantime during her time participating in placements, Fatima will experience hardships due to the unreasonable expectations of the university placements, and visa requirements.
She will be working full time without pay for the placements for a period of about 6 months. She is at the
ink of homelessness due to placement
