First and foremost, the leader should be clear about the goals, where they are headed through their teamwork and how they are to function for best results. He should possess a compelling energy that drives the entire team into believing and striving towards the goals (Daft, 2018).
Any work can be achieved through knowledge followed by confidence in oneself. It is all the more important for a leader, because every member of the team is looking up to him/her. A leader commands respect and deals with every challenge with strength and confidence.
Communication is the key to success. Every effort will be lost if the leader fails to communicate well. The leader should maintain clear-cut communication while assigning tasks and goals and be sure to let every member feel heard (Maxwell, 2007).
