For the longest time, leadership has been associated with the fusion of individual's personality traits. However, heart of any leadership style is the behaviour and attitude that an individual display when tested in different situations. There is so much research done on leaders, strategies and the classical styles of leadership, taking reference from “Leadership Styles” (Nwlink, 2014). Most prominent one are - Autocratic where the leaders act more like a dictator such that followers perform exactly what is told to them. Second one is Democratic style in which the leaders approaches a task with a team prospective and encourages participation from the followers by delegating work and authority. Lastly, Laiseez-fair style of leadership in which leaders provide complete autonomy and authority to one's follower with least interventions.
Well, I feel there is no single best leadership style as each has its own merits and demerits based on situation we are operating in.
