What are the major species in a solution of weak acid containing HCl?
According to the concept of acids in chemistry, acid are molecular species that can donate a proton or accept an electron during chemical reactions. There are explicitly two different types of acids; namely a strong and weak acid.
Strong acids are acids which can dissociate fully when dissolved in water whereas, a weak acid cannot dissociate fully in the solution. For instance, HCl is a strong acid and can dissociate into its respective ions as shown below:
HCl + H2O              H+ + Cl- +OH-
But during the reaction of a weak acid such as acetic acid, the acid is not fully dissociated and remains in an equili
