Your specific assignment for this module is to select a health care organization for your project and have it approved by your professor. You may consider any organization as long as you have enough access to the organization and/or level of understanding of that organization necessary to respond to the assignments. Accordingly, your selected health care organization can be:

The organization for which you work.
A health care organization for which a friend or relative works. You must be able to access information concerning this organization that is relevant to your SLP assignments.
A local health care organization that is willing to share insight about how it manages health information.
Any health care organization that makes public its approach to health information management, operations, and organizational structure.

Provide a brief one-page overview of the organization you have selected and describe the reason for your selection and/or your relationship to the organization. Within the context of your selected organization, describe what affect clinical information systems have on patient care, safety, quality, and other outcomes.

Introduction
The use of clinical information systems in hospitals is increasing. It also addresses the current obstacles to the implementation of digital technologies, including costs, cultural factors, and reluctance to accept new technologies. However, despite the obstacles, the evidence of the information system is worth the investment (Rocha, 2011). The benefits of electronic medical records include reducing errors, improving the clinical decisions patients encounter, and disseminating information in real time. Computerized physician order entry requires electronic or computer support to use a computer or mobile device platform to enter physician orders, including medication orders. 
Role of Health Care Information Systems
During my internship project I join Baptist Medical Center healthcare organization. I work there as an intern. The Baptist Medical Center uses a healthcare information system to coordinate the daily operations of each corner of a medical field. The medical information system of the Baptist Medical Center is increasingly advanced and its growing ability enables the Baptist Medical Center to use these systems extensively throughout the hospital. In fact, the use of certain levels of the information management in medical service providers, medical institutions, and medical systems has become widespread (Mandal, 2016).
For example, EHR can increase the level of clinical management so that the data of comprehensive patients can be kept in the yard campus of healthcare staff.
The EHR program provides an interactive clinical decision that provides careful guidance to potential problems for example drug interaction, allergy or serious laboratory values, and potential carers on tips on preventive care as well as clinical guidelines.
