COMPREHENSIVE CHANGE MANAGEMENT PROCESS
Abstract
The cu
ent study focuses on the change management process, reason for changes and ways to evaluate change with a special reference to Flydubai Airline in UAE. The study takes into account the company background and its status in the market, which is described in details through the issues faced by the organization in recent times. As issues do not arise without their reasons, the cause of issues seen in the selected organization is discussed and identified. It is found that the organization has less employees in ratio to its workload, making employees tired and eventually increased cases of human e
or, low performance and customer dissatisfaction. The cu
ent study offers ways to
ing in effective changes in the context of the organizational issues and also incorporates a detailed section on tools and measures that can be used for evaluating the change management process. Lastly, a personal reflection of the researcher is included followed by a comprehensive conclusion.

Introduction
Due to the changing nature of the customers, shift in cash flow, entry of newer competitors and tax policies, business environment does not remain the same for longer periods, thereby, making change implementation an essential part of regular business. The changes, although incorporated for the benefit of the organization, sometimes cause organizational efficacy, performance and quality falter. Therefore, it is important that change be managed properly in an organizational setting; otherwise, the organization would be subjected to managerial and quality issues. In the cu
ent study, Flydubai, airline in UAE, has been chosen an organization for assessing the aspect of change management and its importance.
Background of Flydubai
As an offering of a low budget airline service by the Dubai Government, the company, Flydubai was established in 2008, which started its journey its commercial functioning from 2009. The airline started using 50 passenger airplanes and at present has offered its services to more than 100,000 people in total. Despite being low budget airline, it gradually increased its number of daily flights and offered its customers to fly through new routes. The company services within Middle Eastern countries, Asian countries, North Africa and Europe and in consistently expanding its number of routes on regular intervals, taking into account the flow of air passengers in the considered destinations. The Airline, has managed to offer 1400 flights per day, has a capacity of 500 experienced pilots and strength of 1000 cabin crewmembers for smooth service providing (Flydubai, 2018). However, the airline has faced issues with customer satisfaction, carelessness in the aspect of flight safety, which is starting to affect its reputation and has
ought in the need for change (The Guardian, 2016).
Issues Faced by Flydubai and Reasons to Change
Considering the recent development and the leaked records of international functioning as well as staffs response to work, it can clearly be seen that Flydubai is facing issues with flight safety, which again is caused due to the declining performance level of on board and ground staffs of the airlines. The pilots of Flydubai, around whom the issues arise, show that there has been excessive workload that has made the pilots prone to fatigue-based e
ors at the time of work (The Guardian, 2016). The pilots also have trouble in communicating in English, as it had not been their mother tongue.
In addition, the ground staffs had not been able to offer the best range of services to its customers. It is found that dogs had entered runways; the passengers had been offered vague information due to communication limitations between the ground staffs and lastly, the safety had been compromised in the name of safety, as the pilots report bomb threat, bird collision during flight and passengers abusing the cabin crew (The Guardian, 2016). Considering the increasing number of air passengers, the airline must ensure changes in its internal frame to earn profit and grow bigger as an international airline.
Root Causes of Issues Faced by Flydubai
The main issues faced by Flydubai are the quality of performance of the employees, which include the pilots, cabin crew and the ground staffs. The pilots’ accounts show that there have been issues with fatigue and time for rest management by the airline. As the airline offer 1400 flights per day, it becomes very tough for merely 500 pilots to offer the services, after taking ample rest in the interval of two flights. As stated by Russo, Buonocore, Carmeli and Guo (2018), when employees do not get the chance to take rest, they become mentally less aware of the su
ounding and give less attention to details. In terms of the staffs interaction with passengers it is found that staffs have very limited knowledge...
