Suffrage movement was referred to as the voice and advanced ammunition which made a demarcation at the local as well as the federal level (Kraditor, 1965).

It was a voice and an ammunition and artillery for the women who were unable to exercise their voting rights and for the blacks who were bonded and enclosed into the shackles of slavery. The suffrage movement brought about under the leadership of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott.
