Introduction  
Religion has always dominated the world, people or different regional boundaries also bind with 
each other if they share same religion. Every world religion has its own belief system and 
spiritual truths that believes in ultimate reality. The set of believers and the spiritual truths 
encompass the teachings of any religion. Religious identity strongly determine the people and 
their moral and values.    
Historically Judaism, Christianity and Islam have been the most significant religions of the 
world. However Judaism is not as big as Islam and Christianity but its impact on the world is 
profound but Christianity and Islam are regarded as the largest religions. Christians are generally 
most dominant in Americas and Europe whereas Islam is found in Asia, Middle East and North 
Africa. The followers of Christianity, Islam and Judaism are known as Christians, Muslims and 
Jew respectively and they are predominantly found in Israel.      
Similarities found  
The three religions Judaism, Christianity and Islam despite being different bear a lot of 
similarity. These religions can also be referred as Abrahamic religion as they all focus on the 
belief in God but are known to trace their origin to Abraham (Sindler, 1982). All these three 
religions are based on the monotheist faith and believe in the existence of one God. They also 
share same belief in Prophets, angels and Satan also share similar opinion in the matters related 
to Judgment day, punishment and eternal reward. All the three religions have special covenant 
with God. Peace is the central to all the religions and is reflected even in their religious texts and 
their belief system.   
Compare and Contrast the World Views 2017 
 
Contrasting Views  
Despite the fact that these religions bear some similarities there are many differences also. One 
major difference between all the three religions is the way they have belief in God. Like Judaism 
and Islam believe that God is only one and cannot be broken apart whereas Christianity believes 
that God is in the form of Trinity. Where Christianity believes that Holy trinity comprises of God 
as Jesus is the Son of God and is therefore just regarded as God, he has been sent on the earth to 
for the good of the people.
