The importance of appropriately managing project stakeholders
The process of systematically identifying, analyzing, planning and implementing actions to get the stakeholders engage is known as stakeholder management. The importance of stakeholder management is often ignored by managers due to their failure of identifying its importance. Understanding importance of stakeholder management becomes necessary for managers as it is not only detrimental for project but also it brings possibility of derailing the entire project if one stakeholder is disgruntled simply by using their influence. While in case managers takes care of managing stakeholders, it can become one of the greatest asset by providing support to the project and clearing the potential roadblocks that might come on its path during the progress. 
There are various ways in which improper stakeholder management can harm the project. The process simply starts with identifying them. Many managers often fail to identify all the stakeholders related to project.
