corruption." Sergeant: I hope everything is going well so far. I 
want to let you in on a case of police corruption. 
Most of the time, we don't get a chance to see much 
of the investigation that takes place when it has to 
do with another officer. I won't tell you the officer's 
name because he may be someone that you know. 
But I thought that it might be a good learning 
experience for you. 
 
The officer is accused of taking money from a man 
that he pulled over. Allegedly, the officer stopped the 
man while he was driving on Main Street at about 
2:30 a.m. on Saturday morning last week. The driver 
was allegedly drunk. During the stop, the driver was 
arrested for DWI. The man later complained at the 
department that money was missing from his wallet. 
The chief and one of the captains reviewed the 
police cruiser's dash camera recording and saw the 
officer put something into his pocket while he was 
searching the vehicle. This happened after the man 
was handcuffed and detained in the backseat of the 
patrol car. The officer later made the statement and 
admitted taking the money. Listen to the statement
