I believe Spotify is an innovative music streaming service. It includes all niche bands to well known artists, has amazing new music exploration features (such as daily mix and aesthetic based playlist), offers audiobooks and podcasts, and provides information such as concerts coming to you in your area and a way to reach the fan base to expand and blend communities. This streaming service appears to have taken all the great things from individual apps, not only music related apps but social media apps as well; such as Pandora radio, bands in town, pinterest, etc.. It is a central app that lets you express yourself without giving too much of yourself.
I chose this service because I use it everyday and have gone back to it every time. In comparison to other music streaming services I have found that Spotify is the best and most user friendly streaming service. You do not need multiple apps for things like music, books, and podcasts, it is centralized all in one app and adaptable on all technologies. While being user friendly and accessible it is also customizable. A great marketing technique used is targeted ads, and spotify uses that with all streaming services provided. Creating your own playlist isn’t limited to only music you know, it gives you related items (different musicians, podcasters, or books). Referencing your current moods with music, it puts you in touch with new and different options. Making the app feel limitless.
My service makes a difference by giving the user control by not having control. It lets the user tailor their “feed” and get exactly what they are looking for each time. This sparks creativity and innovation for their users; whether that be the right playlist needed to study or finish homework (endless playlist for this on Spotify), or the right podcast or book to spark the motivation to innovate, the possibilities are endless.
