I chose a recruitment video from The Shoe Company using employee testimonials for Dress4Success. You can reach the video herehttps://youtu.be/SDxLMZCvmWU. Having an established organizational culture allows employees to understand what is important to the company and what is expected of them. This allows people that may be interested in applying to know if their values are going to fit in within the company and the companies’ values. This also gives a view of the leadership within the company allowing recruits to see the types of individuals they could potentially be working for. It allows them to decide if this is a role they can strive to fill themselves one day. New recruits come with lots of questions. If given the opportunity to advance in the company, would I fit in? Can I believe in the product? Can I support the mission of the company? Is there room for advancement? Can I see myself here long term? Having an established organizational culture will allow the recruits to answer these questions prior to going through the hiring process saving you both time and money.
The employee recruits that will be attracted to your company, Dress4Success, are also people that will be attracted to your product. So, let’s showcase that product. This type of video would take place within your own store showing off your own merchandise. It lets them picture themselves in the environment. Business attire will likely attract businesspeople. Businesspeople often find their time very valuable so I feel a short and to the point video like this will be more appealing. I like the way this video uses the employee testimonies to tell them about the company and the opportunities within the company. Who better to hear it from than the employees themselves? Having actual employees will also let them know what kind of personalities you are trying to reach while also appealing to their want to progress their careers within the company. For Dress4Success’ recruitment video, I choose a short, personal and to the point approach for attracting new.

Hello Mr. Rios, I hope this memo finds you well. I wanted to follow up after our previous discussion concerning your interest in updating Tech-IT’s recruitment video. After our phone call, I used the information I gathered to find a video online that I believe to be an example of the vision I had for Tech-IT’s new recruitment video. I understand that Tech-IT aims to provide cutting edge products in new technology. This is a great aspiration both with how quickly the tech industry is developing and how high the demand is for new technology. I believe Tech-IT has positioned itself in a great spot competitively with this organizational focus and has the potential to create a very attractive organizational culture to potential team members. Here at Organizational Behavior, we believe that a solid work environment that is centered around company objectives is crucial to organizational success. The best way to achieve that is through a cohesive organizational culture that aligns with those company objectives. Achieving this cohesion begins with the company’s first impression on new hires. Which is why I believe it is crucial that Tech-IT’s new recruitment video articulates the organization’s drive and desire for innovation and tech industry in consumer products. At the end of this memo, I have attached one of Apple’s recruitment videos as an example of depicting this type of organizational culture to potential team members. I want to draw specific attention to the middle of the video, specifically timestamps 0:58 – 2:42. Although the overall theme of this recruitment video is exemplifying the cross-collaboration between different departments within Apple, I believe this section specifically addresses the culture that Tech-IT seeks to uphold and that we can emphasize in our new recruitment video, should you choose to collaborate with Organizational Behavior. The specific examples that the two speakers give of the process they underwent to innovate a component in order to improve the overall product depicts the kind of work environment that upcoming software and electronics engineers are looking for. I know Tech-IT’s competitive nature and goals for technological innovation breeds this sort of work environment and I know that creating a great recruitment video that articulates this will result in attracting the creatively determined workforce you are seeking.
