    The relevant factors that reflected that something has gone wrong was decline in the monthly packaging quality award competition of Conifer's. This was also reflected on the gradual loss of a few important clients to competitors because of the poor package design of their products. The decreasing productivity while the production of other departments rose or remained constant was another symptom that something has gone wrong. There were aspects of expanding backlogs of completed items that was external to the department mainly because of reduced efficiency of the packaging department. Even though the business paid overtime to reduce the backlog, the issue remained (Cao et al., 2022). It was also apparent that only 10% of the workforce was engaged in the packaging which was also one of the factors that was responsible for the reduced productivity of the organization.
What are the main causes of the symptom(s)?
    The productivity of the packaging department significantly fell because of the lack of the management prospects of the organization. Human nature tends to lead to workplace complacency when there is no higher authority present, as may be the situation in the packaging division of Conifer Corp (Wang et al., 2021). Due to their lack of authority, employees have felt free to abuse their positions by overstaying 10 minutes for lunch, 5 minutes for coffee, and 15 minutes for scheduled departures.
