The production gone drastically over a certain period of time and the finished product backlog is lying outside the building. The stockpiled is decreasing the value of the product. The packaging department in the morning shist is not able to handle the packaging of the complete production so they keep some production for afternoon shift which is need to be packaged (McShane & Von Glinow, 2017). The departments were unsuccessful in managing the production and packaging depsite overtime running on the production floor.
The ratings of the company for the packaging has also gone down as the packaging was appeared to be sub-standard. The lowering standards have turned out to be harmful for the organisation. As per the study based on time and motion aspect the productin department is capable of finishing the work without overtime which is another eye opener (Sivasundari, Rao & Raju, 2019). The employees are not punctual and temporary workers are working in the different departments.

Due to non-availability of supervisor in the packaging department the productivity was decreasing day by day. Packaging department is located a ta distance from other departments and this has created a silo impact on it. The need for independent supervisor is quite high for it (Mourtzis, Siatras, Angelopoulos & Panopoulos, 2021). Workers tend to work with lineancy when they know they there is no supervising authority over them and the same is happened at Confier Corp’s packaging department.
