Sociological researches has established the highest proportion of criminological theories. Such theories often have sustained that criminal behavior is a reasonable response of mentally and physiologically normal individuals to specific societal situations (Barmaki, 2017). While the terms "deviance" and "crime" are sometimes employed interchangeably, there have been crucial distinctions to be made. Bribery is commonly considered a criminal crime when someone offers or delivers something of worth to public officials to influence their legal obligations (Pruitt, 2018). This paper focuses on bribery, relevant theories, their comparison, and analysis.
Conflict theory
Conflict theorists frequently describe an inverse connection between financial circumstances and criminality. Economic circumstances, particularly situations of economic distress, have long been linked to bribery rates, according to conflict theorists in criminological theory. The disproportionality phenomenon suggests that there is an alliance among various groups about the way society should function, what regulations must be mandated, and the ways justice must be undertaken by essentially exploring what physiological, societal, or physiological factors cause a few individuals or groups to bribe (Valery V., 2018). The mainstream approach to understanding why particular races are highly represented in official statistics and the justice system is rejected by the disparity hypothesis. The conflict theory approach underpins the disparity hypothesis.
