Answer:- For a molecule to have square planar molecular geometry the hy
idization should be sp3d2 and
there should be two loan pairs on central atom and 4 atoms should be bonded to it.
In SF4, 4 F atoms are bonded to S and S has one loan pair so it is not the right choice. In XeF4, 4F
atoms are bonded to Xe and Xe has two loan pairs so it is co
ect choice. In CCl2Br2 and CCl4 four
atoms are bonded to the central ca
on atom so it is not the right one. In PH3, three H atoms are
