ent assignment ‘Flat-Earth’ theory has been discussed in the backdrop of the video documentary ‘Behind the Curves’ which has thrown in multifaceted perspectives, which shows an unexplored realm of human psyche. The documentary shows that a group of people have come up against the round earth theory and it also evaluates the documentary as a form of fake news.

Secondly, it is seen that the people, who are considered as the pioneers of Flat-Earth’ theory as depicted in ‘Behind the Curves’ have only presented hypothesis with no proofs to offer and the main focus has been on creating a separate niche of people, selling merchandises and running social media accounts, which seen from a commercial standpoint proves that it is only a marketing stunt and is evidently a fake news. As supported by Chahrour and Jurado (2018), original news do offer legit proofs in support of a claim made, while the fake ones lack legitimacy despite their lucrative presentation.
