Parochialism is the inherent tendency by which one views the world through one’s own perspective and eyes whereas simplification is process that exhibits the same orientation and perspective for each and every cultural group (Bowles et al, 2000). An example of parochial is type of education received in catholic school, an example of simplification is the difference between the cultures in Japan and the United States. The ways wherein the parochialism and simplification acts as barrier is the problems as well as misunderstanding caused because of managing cross-cultural or multicultural businesses in a globalised economy along with the fact that these two varying views may alter perceptions of individuals dramatically acts as barrier for effective cross cultural management (Adler, 1991).
