Agere specialized in spending several semi-conductor products for its production lines. There are mainly four major business streams of the company spanning to 4 different operational sectors.  All these business units are subdivided into business entities based on product technologies further. 
The key discussion is focussed on identification demand changes and trends in advance. Identification and monitoring of leading indicators, Correlation of the leading indicators with the demand forecasts, validity of the same. 
The data analytics presented in the report worked to analyze the relation between the tools based on the concepts of leading indicators and the actual demand trends.
The demand and the forecast analysis is based on the data analytics and the findings presented in the report indicated that the tools employed are effective in making alarms of the advanced changes in the demand patterns of the products.  Leading indicator approach seems to be effective in making financial planning more specifically revenue planning the most important business aspect of the organization.  Leading indicator analysis also seems to be useful for inventory analysis, also useful in determination of the inventory impacting factors based on the demand prediction and technology growth as well. Based on the data analytics and the demand predictions employed for Agere, it is quite evidential supporting the fact that the usage of leading indicator can provide more reliable demand predictions when compared with demand prediction without leading indicator. Hence this technique can be employed for any type of demand utilization procedures and leading indicator technique can be employed for best results (Wu et al., 2006).
