Heavy Crude Oil is a type of crude oil, which has very high specific gravity and viscosity 
Also it, contains many heavier hydrocarbons.  The heavier fractions are due to biological 
degradation. Lighter fractions are degraded by bacteria leaving the heavier fractions 
behind.   
The brief list of the components of the Heavy crude oil is given below. 
 Heavy condensed organic molecules with very high carbon content, almost of 60 
carbon atoms per molecule 
 Asphaltenes 
 Resins 
 Mono, di, tri, tetra and hexa aromatics 
 Naphthalene derivatives
