Tuberculosis Prevention Policy
The case of Sara reflects that she get caught by Tuburculosis by attending the patients in the hospital. This reflects that a poor policy in this regard was working or the policy guidelines did not apply. The organization did not seem to provide preventive measures to the employees. It is the responsibility of the organization to provide the inherent risks of tuberculosis and its prevention strategies. The organization did not have compulsory vaccination program as the case reveals. The organization should have provided the information about the non infectious and infectious phases of the tuberculosis. The organization should provide free tests as well as regular checkups facility to the employees. The dietary practices should have also been communicated to the employees. But the case study reveals that these initiatives were not taken. Therefore, a policy is drafted for prevention of tuberculosis.

General policy
· The hospital should provide screening to all employees for TB exposure prevention as well as control program. The employees with TB disease should be identified to prevent the TB transmission to the other employees and other people. 
· The TB infection should be identified to prevent the progression of the disease. The effectiveness of TB exposure control measures should be evaluated to identify the corrective action need. 
· The policy should comply with the government regulations. 
· The screening should be offered to all employees consisting full time, part time and temporary employees. 
· Screening should be provided to that employee who are directly or indirectly involved in the individual services and offer support. 
· The organization should allocate responsibility of active support and medical direction to the relevant people. 
· The responsibility should be offered to employees or agency to assess the TB risk annually.  
· The agency should perform responsibility to monitor the progress of TB education.
