Introduction:
The assignment is based on taking interview of CEO of ABC Company that has a widespread business on global platform. Several leadership related questions were asked to him and based on the answers given by him, a conclusive statement is given at the end of the assignment.
1. What are your views about leading a workforce in the cu
ent global marketplace?
The cu
ent global marketplace is a bit dicey to run a large scale industry. The concept of monopoly is almost gone now and there is cutthroat competition in engraving ones name on global economic platforms. It is not necessary to be on board all the time. Rather it is important to develop innovative solutions when company is facing a downfall in the system and help the unit to sustain the loss and cover maximum out of it and eventually render profits in the long run. To excel in the race of success is not important but to be an active member competing with the aligning companies is important. (Gronn, 2005)
2. How do you describe your approach to leading globally?
The approach to leading globally is a simple three step formula. First of all vision and priorities are decided as per the company’s requirements. Secondly, a managing time is decided based on how much time every procedure will take during the course of project and lastly, feedback from employees is taken regarding the project after completion. If all three steps are achieved simultaneously then leading a company on a global platform becomes easy. (Kaplan, 2007)
3. Who are your leadership role models?
I have two role models namely Stan Lee and Elon Musk
4. What approaches to leadership have you found effective? Why?
There are basically 4 approaches to leadership which I believe in following.
· Leadership as a person
· Leadership as position
· Leadership as Result
· Leadership as Process
Leadership as a person – This shows the importance on an individual’s character. It is not important about the looks; it is all about how you treat your peers and associates.
