Some specific exceptions were made to the rule given in the case Mapp v. Ohio. Though 
there still have been debates going on whether the exceptions to the rule were constitutional or 
not, a thorough analysis of the exceptions is surely going to reveal that though one of them is 
constitutional, the other still suffers from some ambiguities. In the concerned case the Court 
ruled that it is mandatory to ensure that the evidence gathered to prepare a case in the court of 
law must be legally obtained, and the responsibility of ensuring such clause has to be placed on 
the court (Kelly, 2016). As a matter of fact “The decision would open up the court to a number 
of difficult cases concerning how to apply the exclusionary rule” (Kelly, 2016). But even facing 
such difficulties the ruling adhered to the Fourth Amendment clause that states (as cited in 
Hughes, 2013), “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, 
against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue,
