1.There are many variables in the Stat_Grades.sav data set that can be used to describe the students in the class. Use the variable “Year in School” and answer the following questions:
a. What type of data does the variable “Year in School” represent? Are the data discrete or continuous? Explain the Level of Measurement used to assign numbers to the “Year in School?”
b. Which measure of central tendency is best to use to describe the variable “Year in School?” What does that measure tell you about the students in the Statistics Class?”
c. Explain which measure of central tendency is LEAST appropriate to describe the variable “Year in School?
d. Choose an appropriate graph to display the variable “Year in School.” Create the graph in SPSS, copy the graph and paste it below. Be sure the graph is titled and fully labeled.

3. Use the variable Total Course Points and the variable Final Grade to describe the performance of the 105 students from the statistics class in the Stat_Grades data file. Be sure to include at minimum: at least one appropriate graph, and the appropriate measures of central tendency, and any other numerical descriptors you feel would help convey to the reader the performance of the students in the class. Be sure to include a summary statement after conducting your analysis.
4.Which one of the five Quizzes has the strongest relationship with overall student performance represented by “Total Course Points?” Create the appropriate graph to show the relationship between the Quiz with the strongest relationship and Total Course Points.
5. What is the numerical measure of the strength of the relationship between “Previous GPA” and “Final Exam Points?” What kind of a relationship exists? Create the appropriate graph to show the relationship between the Previous GPA and “Total Course Points.”
6. The following output was generated for the variable “Ethnicity” from the Stat_Grades data set.
a. Explain what each measure tells you about the Ethnicity of the students in the Stat_Grades.sav dataset.
b. If you were running the Frequencies procedure on the variable “Ethnicity” why or why not would you include each of these measures?
7. The graph below (which is not from data in the Stat_Grades data set) shows the relationship between the time off (vacation hours) and GPA for 100 adult students.
