•In Ch.5 we presented the concept of Structural and Dynamic Complexity. However, on page 61 of Terry Cooke-Davies book Carver and Maylor state that "The most common high-level categorizations of complexity were identified as:" –Scale; –Uncertainty; –Pace; –and Socio-political. •Is there a relationship between each of these and "The four categories or dimensions, which are based on the source of complexity namely: –Structural complexity; –Technical complexity; –Directional complexity; and –Temporal complexity. •In other words is: –Scale a synonym for Structural complexity? –Uncertainty a synonym for Technical complexity? –Pace a synonym for Directional complexity? –and Socio-political a synonym for Temporal complexity? •Does then the concept of Structural and Dynamic Complexity alter your initial opinion as discussed by Carver and Maylor in Chapter 5?•Also, In Ch.6, You have been studying the Parametric estimation concept and how to estimate cost and time of complex projects. There may seem disagreement between this concept and the concept ofwicked problems, discussedin Ch1byMs Lynelle Briggs. You are requested to investigate and analyse both concepts andrespond to the following:
•Do you see both concepts agree or disagree with each other? Does the concept ofMr Shermon and the concept of parametric estimation work together in eliminating the degree of complexity? Explain what do you think and Why?.•How do you see this concept with the concept of wicked problems discussed in Ch1 by Ms Lynelle Briggs paper regarding wicked problems "Tackling wicked problems: A public policy perspective" .Can both concepts viewed together, Could the observations of Mr Shermon be applied in the cases that Ms Briggs discusses in the kinds of needs within the Australian Public Service?•In other words, could parametrics be applied to the Australian Public Service projects and as a consequence reconcile some of the issues they experience with Cost and Schedule estimates?•Could this be an example of a useful application for the 'big data' paradigm that is often discussed by the Federal Government? Explain why do you think so?

Introduction
Complexity of the project is difficult to define, as it involves different types of connotations. The cu
ent study involves concept of the structural and dimensional complexity. In addition to that, it also includes high level of complexity related to the project. Linkage between the four dimensions and source of complexity has explained. Apart from that, concept of parametric estimation and wicked problems is elaborated.
Concept of structural and dynamic complexity
The two tale of the project is to manage structural and dynamic complexity. In case of complex projects structural complexity mainly involves socio-political and uncertainty complexity. It involves huge number of project related elements and creates interconnection between the elements (Cooper and Green, 2016, p. 277). This type of complexity mainly occurs if the project is running by joint venture or there is relation between interconnected variables.
Dynamic complexity has major dependency on the prevailing mechanism. It mainly maintains information related to structural operations. In addition to that, dynamic complexity supports to apply different types of methods to manage project related planning to mitigate problems. It can occur in simple system with the low combinatorial complexity, because of interaction among the agents over time.
Identification of high level of complexity
High level of complexity involves scale, uncertainty, pace and socio-political. Structural complexity involves scale to measure variety of the load way in the structure. Measurement scale supports to measure degree of the complexity which can affect the entire project (Botchkarev and Finnigan, 2014, p. 17). In addition to that, uncertainty considered as the major factor of project complexity. Uncertainty related to project can rise because of knowledge and experience shortage. Uncertainty about small factor can create huge amount of complexity. There are mainly four types of pace that impact the complex project in a significant manner. Pace complexity supports the management to develop planning of the project and provides autonomy degree to maintain project team. On the other hand, socio-political complexity involves much autonomous part which is interdependent and interconnected. Degree of the socio-political complexity depends on the degree of freedom and autonomy. It also depends on the...
