The vital theme on which the novel Fahrenheit 451 is based is the theme of excessive
control and interference of government in the private and public life of the citizens of a country
and its consequences. There is another theme in the story and that theme is about the improper
knowledge than can be rendered by restricting individuals from reading books and such

character in the story deteriorates along with the majority of the population as they are unable to

creativity and proper knowledge. Book is always a true source of knowledge and as today’s
generations are trying to get rid of them, their knowledge is becoming incomplete without having
any depth. And this is fatal for the future generation too because if today’s society fails to restore

what human creativity is and what is the importance of writing and reading and gathering proper
knowledge.
The theme of the story The Lottery can also be related to the present society. In this story...
