To train project managers in system thinking it has to be understood that the managers are the people who will look after all the aspects of the project, so they need to be trained in ideas which involve all the employees and target the best results. Some of the ideas that the manager needs to be trained are:
1. Everything is connected to everything as nothing goes solo in the world. The moment we work on a specific aspect the other aspect of the project may turn on you and may ruin the structure of the project.
2. Doing one thing is not possible, because when you have already started a project, the values may change, some variables may start moving apart, then you again have to come back and focus on it.
3. It is very important to be thorough with every part of the system. To make a very good system it has to be scrutinized layer by layer and has to be understood at the root cause. Otherwise the solution to the problem at later stage becomes difficult.
System thinking is a methodological approach which relies on some concepts of management as well as interaction (Thompson, 2017). The managers need goal seeking behaviour which will motivate them as well as the other stakeholders. They should also have control over the project and how to change it accordingly. It is highly necessary for the managers to continuously adapt to changes and learn side by side for a better productivity.

The diagram illustrates the facts SE and PM is both different in their work roles and sometimes they even collaborate with the roles they perform. Based on the complexity of the tasks the SE managers, as well as the project manager’s needs to work side by side to figure out all the necessities of the task provided.
SE is responsible for the technical aspects of the task such as building teach-frame, plan the outline of the task to be performed, Plan and mitigate risk, while the PM are responsible to connect to stakeholders and maintain the authenticity of the task. They mostly do the same procedures in the entire task involved in the project.
In simple but consolidated system the tasks can be performed based on the previous experiences and problems can be mitigated by using the previous practice in different projects.
