Introduction
Communication competence is required for our relationships, health and all the activities, in which we humans are engaged. According to Back et al. (2020), the interpersonal skills have wide range of benefits like resilience to stress and other psychological problems, more happiness in life and enhanced professional gains. There is a question that why communication skills are important for human existence and the answer to this question is what we study in this field has a direct impact on the quality of communication we make and ultimately the quality of our lives are impacted.
As the society is growing and acquiring complex traits it is essential that professionals gain competitive communication skills so that they can demonstrate a better understanding of societal needs and transfer of information. In the last decade, the field of communication has evolved as a social science discipline with a rapid pace. Experts wrote book and researchers explored areas in communication, which needs to be given due consideration.
As mentioned by Claro et al. (2018), universities and colleges started giving importance to communication in cu

(i) Developmental: It is done at young age or supposedly in children when they refine and extend their repertoire of social skills.
(ii) Remedial: The actions taken for those who showed unsatisfactory results or failed in delivering their repertoire of social skills and

(2020), with this, the rise of organisational communication, also known as internal communication, came into picture.
Internal communication is important because its effectiveness helps an organisation to accomplish objectives. For instance, there is a need to introduce a change in the organisation looking after the performance and management decided that some processes would be transformed. If the communication flow is not effective, it will create ambiguity and resistance in the system.
As indicated by Claro et al. (2018), employees will fear their future in the company and there will be reduced motivation along with delays in meeting deadlines. The appropriate communication channels have significant role to play, as they are responsible for circulation of information and ensuring collaboration between employees for smooth functioning of processes.
In order to have sound communication there is a need of effective communication skills. As mentioned by Henrickson et al. (2022), as key personnel, a manager or an employee, one should have communication skills to let other understand yourself clearly and get the message, which you actually want to convey.
It also improves the inter-personal relationship and helps to share necessary...
