Introduction
Leadership is on the most important aspect of management. Leadership style is an adaptive trait which an individual adopts as per the situation and kind of team which needs to be led. It is always flexible and could be changed as per the need of the hour. Some of the famous and most talked about leadership styles are: - Transactional, Transformational, Laissez- faire, Facilitative, Team, Strategic, Democratic, Autocratic, Visionary and Coaching Leadership
My personal leadership style is Transformational. This style of leadership involves high levels of communication and participation from the management to meet long term objectives and vision of the company. It is not regulatory form of leadership style and involves great involvement from senior management and leaders of the organization to transform the future and careers of its employees along with its goals and objectives (Ro
ins and Coulter, 2007) .This style of leadership style creates a positive change in its followers and motivates them to take care of team’s interest in a whole.
Body
Transformational leadership enhances the morale, performance, and motivation of followers through numerous and variety of mechanisms.
To list down, these include connecting the follower's sense of identity and self to the project and the collective identity of the firm; challenging followers to take greater ownership for their task or work; being a role model for followers that inspires them and makes them interested and understanding the weaknesses and strengths of followers, so the leader could align followers with tasks that enhance their performance (Wa
ilow, 2012). On a
