I am happy to say that I have completed my capstone research project which went through a vigorous analysis of Insurance Agency in US. The title of my project was ‘Strategic Issue Management in Insurance Companies’. It started with the study of external and internal factors influencing the profitability of insurance companies such as investment income, ROA, underwriting profits, the company costs and technical up-gradation. The project began with a general overview of US economy, political and economic environment, technical, financial and social environment and the customer behavior.  Moving towards the other modules, the project gave me an opportunity to explore the internal organization environment of the insurance company such as motivation factors, leadership, staffing issues, stakeholder dynamics, and the technology affecting the overall productivity of the business.
With help of SWOT Analysis the project identified the existing weaknesses of the US Insurance Companies such as inefficient operations, issues related to risk management and conflict resolution, poor quality of services, lack of innovation, high stress, and weaker governance structure. Poor relationship between the stakeholders and customers also impose adverse impact on the profitability of the insurance agency.
