    Motivation helps the individuals to conduct activities towards attaining organizational objectives. It is a leader who motivates the team members towards achieving the set goals. Through this discussion we will analyze the motivation to lead and goal orientation along with the qualities and characteristics of the team members.
Analysis
    Motivation to lead is the role undertaken by the leader along with the responsibilities, training and increasing the leading efforts as well as being consistent being a leader (Chan & Drasgow, 2001). Further, goal orientation has its contribution in achieving the desired goals through motivation and learning through self-regulation (Pintrich, 2000a). Goal orientation are general type of objectives and are subject to changes with respect to the individual performance on the activities (AIPC, 2010).
