Trends in Juvenile Crime Rate 
Juvenile crime is a worrying factor not for the United States only but for the world as 
well. Across the globe governments of different countries are formulating policies to address the 
issue of the rise in the rate of juvenile crime. Talking about United States in specific it should be 
mentioned that “Preventing and addressing juvenile crime and delinquency remain perennial 
issues in state legislatures today” (“Juvenile Justice”, n.d.). Myriads of studies and research have 
been conducted with the funding of the Federal government and state governments regarding the 
trend in the rate of juvenile crime and the findings cannot be considered as unanimous. And this 
is because if on one hand some reports show a declining trend of juvenile crime in some states, 
in some other states, on the other hand, reports show an increase in the rate of juvenile crime.
