This assignment focuses on the individual behavior and processes that affect innovation in an organization.

Watch the video “IDEO shopping cart project” (see link above) and write a summary of the attributes in the IDEO organization that encourage and enhance innovation in an organization. Make sure you include your own critical thinking on the subject matter. The paper needs to have an introduction and a conclusion section with a clear thesis. Introduction
A global design company, which is present in nine locations and has more than 600 employees is committed to create positive impact on the world is IDEO was created in 1991. They have more than 23 design capabilities, which they use to design products. Their portfolio ranges from designing for Apple to medical equipment, from toothbrush to mechanical whale for the movie. They have secret weapons to innovate products and bring the prototype to the table. They have varied members in their design community form teachers to engineers, from entrepreneurs to researchers and many more. David M Kelly is the founder of IDEO and says that innovating products in the company is a fun activity as it involves brainstorming and discussing ideas in teams by breaking stereotypes and accepting new perspectives. 
Thesis
A company named ABS nightline presented a video on IDEO where the task of designing a shopping cart within 5 days was given to the company and they named it as “ The Deep Dive”. It is shown how the task given to the team was completed within given deadline and how effective the results were with innovative solution (Auernhammer & Roth, 2021). While designing the cart the team was concerned about the safety of children, ease of handling and operating it, modularity requirements during shopping and elements of innovation through checkout facilitation. It is not easy as it seems to be innovative and design the product at the same time. There is no doubt their secret weapon was at their rescue to complete the task within a short span of time (Waidelich, Richter, Kölmel & Bulander, 2018). The team dynamism and engagement in the task, innovative culture of the organization, diversified approach, face pace towards prototyping the product, brainstorming and undiverted focus were the characteristics which resulted in redesigned innovative product.
