Why was Jerry Maguire fired?
Jerry Maguire, was released in 1996 (Crowe, 1996), in the movie Jerry Maguire plays a role of successful sports agent who was fired from work for writing a memo to his advisors in which he mentions that the clients are more important than money. Through his memo he also tries to expose the illegal practices prevailing at his workplace.  After being fired from his company he sets up his own company.

Jerry Maguire’s attempt at leadership and creating new mission statement created conflict with his supervisor as he brings forward the unethical activities going on within the organization. While moving in this direction Jerry is fired by Bob Sugar who happens to be his best friend (Crowe, 1996), the person in who Jerry has lots of faith and confidence. Jerry realizes that he has been backstabbed by many people in the company and therefore he aims to create a mission statement which leads to conflict. The conflict is thus created as Jerry reflects in his memo that how to work on ethical grounds and what are the expectations from a honest agent. He emphasized that the agents should not just aim to make money but also have some ethics and his ideas were condemned by the company.
