1. Identification of assets
The assets that have been identified from the case study are green room, pavilion, first aid along and medical facility and the tennis clubhouse. Green room has been chosen as an asset because it plays an important role in any event management. It is the place that is used by the players, guests to freshen up. If the green rooms are well maintained then it improves the image of the place. Sporting pavilion is the whole arena where the event will be conducted. Ensuring that the pavilion is an asset for the organisation will be helpful in ensuring the success of an event. It includes a number of facilities like playing area, meeting rooms, storage and others. Ensuring that the pavilion is an asset will ensure that the smaller components are well managed.
First and medical facility are of prime importance for any sporting event. As per the views of Schulenkorf (2017), the first aid and medical facilities should be able to meet the basic standards. A good first aid and medical facilities can reduce the chances of major injuries to the sport-person and other individuals involved in the event. Identifying medical facility as an asset will be helpful in ensuring that the medical urgencies during an event can be handled with utmost precision and care. The tennis clubhouse is usually built on a large area. Identification of the tennis clubhouse as an asset helps the organisation in ensuring that there is enough space for any ceremonies. In addition to that, tennis is a major sport in any sporting event. Maintaining the tennis clubhouse in an effective manner improves the image of the organisation.
