Frame of Reference
The theory of cultural dimensions, developed by Geert Hofstede, is a framework for cross-cultural communication. As opined by Khlif (2016), it shows the effects of society's culture on its members' values, and the way those values relate to behaviour, using a factor analysis-derived structure. Cultural and societal sides of two countries like Australia and America can be much alike mainly when observing from an outer perspective. Apparent similarities might mask certain differences.
