The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are the offspring of the inhabitants and have a spiritual, cultural and physical association with respect to the specific land where the ancestors used to live. Further, it’s the traditional owners and the custodians of these areas which is known as the Gadigal inhabitants. Thus, these people are the traditional inhabitants of Australia. There are more than 260 countries and groups of languages which are there in Australia and are a part of these groups. Further, there is deep association of cultures, seas, environment, spirituality, land and languages by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. There are ceremonies such as Welcome to the country is being organized by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people where events such as singing, drinking, dancing and smoking along with speech in traditional languages takes place. Further, there are programs such as festivals, award ceremonies, conference and community engagement forums.
