Task In Australia, like in most developed countries, the topic of diversity has
increasingly been discussed in the context of society, communities, and
organisations. Managers and employees are being urged to recognise and
value diversity, and many are pursuing active programs to improve the
workplace environment for diversity. However, inequalities and
challenges still exist for some groups within the workforce.
In this assessment, you have the opportunity to explore a specific diversity
issue (gender) and learn more about how organisations and managers can
improve equalities within the work environment. Within your assignment,
please address the four points/questions below. You should start your
discussion with the main diversity issues that we discussed in class, then

Introduction
In the modern context of the business environment, globalisation has been seen to play an important role. Because of globalisation, companies tend to depend on one another at the times of their crisis. The globalisation has paved the way for the development of diversity within or across the organisations. In other words, the concept of diversity has been essential and influential since the context of the development of globalisation. Diversity in a
oader context refers to a number of different attributes. Diversity refers to the equality and heterogeneity within the business perspectives (Sila, Gonzalez & Hagendorff, 2016).
Since the businesses rely on the input and the management of the employees or the workforce, it is important for the organisations to establish diversity in their operational context. Diversity in terms of gender, ethnicity of the individuals or employees, race and religion of the employees, culture and creed of the employees as well as the skills of the employees are evident in the organisations. In this assignment, the importance of gender diversity and their impacts on business organisations have been elaborated. Different aspects including the issues related to gender diversity, the positive impacts of gender diversity within the workplace and the evaluation of the organisation serving gender equality have also been highlighted in this assignment.
Diversity issues existing in the workplace
A number of diversity issues continue to exist within the organisational perspectives. Diversity in terms of religion has been one of the major forms of antiquities that still continue to exist within the organisational perspectives. It is observed that the people of different religion continue to work together within a single team in a given organisation (Noland, Moran & Kotschwar, 2016). Because of it, the minor number of team members, belonging to a particular religion, finds it difficult to cope up with the team members that belong to the majority religion. Under these circumstances, the overall efficiency of the team and the production of the team as a whole, continue to decrease substantially.
Ethnic and cultural differences are one of the major forms of diversity issues that continue to exist within the workplace. These are commonly noted while working together within a team. Since the different team members have different cultural outlooks and perspectives, diversity is not noted within the context of the organisation. People belonging to the different ethnic background working in a team are also one of the major diversity issues that are commonly noted within the workplace (Pe
