Introduction – My aim
We all aim is to be successful in our career and have to make the right career decision to ensure that our aims and aspirations in life are cherished and we flourish to be successful personnel at the end. A wrong judgement or decision can ruin our life and become the crux of all evil leading our life to a series of unsuccessful events at the end. Hence it is very important to know ones personality and develop a career goal that suits the individual personality the very best. (Cervone, 1977) says that “the amalgamation of experiences that one faces in life, the shared values from the family and the connection of society all contributes to the personality.” (Hogan, 1988) says that “the traits of personality cater to the different psychological roots such as unconscious, motivation, maturity, development and self”.
I have taken the MBTI test to find out my personality and choose the right career that is suitable for me. The test and a self-analysis conducted with inputs from various associates at multifarious levels ascertained my career choice. I am determined to embark on my chosen career of Human Resource professional and I am slowly upgrading myself for the move to my chosen career path.
The Aspired Career Choice
After a meticulous scanning of all the alternates that can be chosen and analysing my personality type, I nurture the wish to be an able and effective Human Resource Personnel who will leverage the skills and productivity of organisation and its people. I shall be getting a good management degree and I am already gathering books and study materials for the purpose of joining a company as an Intern in the Human Resource department of a good organisation. The Human Resource department is the spirit of the organisation that guides with conscience. An HR professional is the driver of the chariot if the organisation is to be compared with the chariot and the different department its horses.
Every industry is in need of Human Resource personnel and I am willing to work in any type of industry and any organisation which has a robust Human Resource System in place. I am though aware of my one lacuna. I am a bit sensitive and soft hearted. Hence I have decided not to join any hospital where the sad and sensitive sights will pain my senses and can be stress-giving. Other than this one exception I shall be happy to join any industry and organisation from where I can learn the skills of a Human Resource professional. I can even start from a start-up company who are willing to put their system in places and have the intention to set up a strong Human Resource department.
