INSTRUCTIONS:
This task requires that you:
- develop
a plan for consumer participation and engagement so clients of your
organisation can be involved in the decision-making process for the
development of your service program
- identify
potential barriers to client participation and plan ways in which they can
be overcome
- identify
other services and networks and plan consultation
- identify
the broader context of the organisation and how this may impact on service
delivery
Use the template provided to complete your
plan.
Make a copy of your template – you will need it in
Part B to consult with your clients.
PART B: CONSULT
WITH CLIENTS
INSTRUCTIONS:
As part of this task you will meet with a group of
clients who will attend your program.
Your assessor will allocate these ‘clients’ to you
– they will be role played by some of your classmates.
This task will require you to:
- consult
with clients using the Consumer Engagement and Participation plan (see
Part A)
- investigate
the needs and preferences of your clients as a basis for developing
your program
- address
barriers to client participation in your program.
