Introduction
The assessment tasks for BSBPMG636 Manage benefits are outlined in the assessment plan below. These tasks have been designed to help you demonstrate the skills and knowledge that you have learnt during your course.
Please ensure that you read the instructions provided with these tasks carefully. You should also follow the advice provided in the Business Works Student User Guide. The Student User Guide provides important information for you relating to completing assessment successfully.
Assessment for this unit
BSBPMG636 Manage benefits describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to manage the attainment of program benefits. It includes ensuring that benefits are identified and realised when and as expected.
For you to be assessed as competent, you must successfully complete two assessment tasks:

Assessment Task 1: Knowledge questions
Information for students
Knowledge questions are designed to help you demonstrate the knowledge which you have acquired during the learning phase of this unit. Ensure that you:

Assessment information
Information about how you should complete this assessment can be found in Appendix A of the Business Works Student User Guide. Refer to the appendix for information on:
· where this task should be completed
· the maximum time allowed for completing this assessment task
· whether or not this task is open-book.
Note: You must complete and submit an assessment cover sheet with your work. A template is provided in Appendix C of the Student User Guide. However, if your RTO has provided you with an assessment cover sheet, please ensure that you use that.

Provide answers to all of the questions below:
Describe two different benefit delivery models and outline the key components of each.
The two models of the benefits are realisation management and the focus model. The realisation management model focuses on the identifying benefits to assess the projects within the program and can produce the intended business result. This particular model provides organisations so we framework to measure how projects and programs at value to an organisation and execute benefits of the management in order to minimise the rest to the future benefits. The focus model initiates the project including the aspects that are cleared about the rational of the project and on building the benefits into all the faces of the project. This ensures to focus in the clear aspects of the business case and delivered the benefits during the project. It also monitors the progress of the benefits during the program execution.
Outline two key techniques used in decision-making theory and analysis as applied to benefits assessment.
Program benefits can be identified by the program manager at an early stage of the program benefits identification. This is done through the review of all the overall objectives of the program and the strategic objectives. The benefits are identified and they can be discussed according to the agreed conditions of the project managers with the other stakeholders. Analysing the benefits of the project outline the options with justification for the proposed expenditure. The project must be represented by the value for money and show the benefits of going ahead with the proposed plan.
