Critical Thinking Assignment - The Components for an Effective Organization
We have known for quite a while now that all businesses have many things that have an impact
on their overall effectiveness. If we were to use culture as an example, one might find that the
internal culture of the organization is unique to the organization. Besides, each employee
contributes a specific skill set and also personality with inherent values and beliefs, and those
will determine how they will interact in the workplace. For many researchers in organizational
ehavior, this is just one of the things that they look at to determine the overall effectiveness of
the organization. Therefore, it is critical that we look at employee interactions and organizational
processes as a whole to create effective, efficient organizations.
Based on what you have learned thus far and as you begin to ponder your research paper, we
would like you to conduct some research on what critical factors are needed to make an
organization more effective. Using your book and other research, your well-written paper will
analyze the elements of an effective organization, using organizational behavior concepts as the
lead. Therefore, your research paper should address the following:
For this critical thinking assignment, conduct research to address the components for an effective
organization. The assignment is worth 250 points. You are not allowed to change or modify the
title of this assignment. There are two requirements (paper or presentation):

Instructions:
• Describe the components necessary for an effective organizational structure, evaluating
how working in this era of globalization may have an impact on its function.
• Evaluate various communication strategies needed for effective organizations.
• Be sure to assess the principles of effective management and where it comes into play
with leadership.
• Examine decision-making, and problem-solving processes need to make an organization
effective.
• Suggest a leadership approach that could contribute to organizational effectiveness and
justify the choice.
Requirements:
• Your paper must be 8-10 pages in length, not counting the required title, abstract, and
eference pages.
• You must supply backing for your analysis with at least seven (7) scholarly/peer-
eviewed references (no older than five (5) years old). Make sure that these references are
not used as required or recommended readings in this course. You will find that the CMU
li
ary is an excellent place to find these sources. However, this does not preclude you
from using additional credible sources, including newspapers, trade journals, government
eports, and white papers. You may also use course required, recommended readings, or
other sources over the required seven (7) references, and older than five years old that
supports your assertions, opinions, or thinking as long as they are applicable. Remember,
they cannot count toward the seven (7) scholarly/peer-reviewed references. In-text
citations used in the assignment must be APA formatted, and this includes an APA
eference page.
• Your title page must include your name, course number, and name, your instructor name,
and date you are submitting the assignment (see title page example for the APA in course
materials).
• Make sure that you include a
