CHANGES TO MAKE:
- Stop being too nice with some people
- More concentrated in class
1. Describe in your own words one or two things you would like to change about yourself and
why? What about this change is important to you and why? Be specific.
For example: I lack discipline and I am not a good planner so I would like to enhance my
planning skills and become more disciplined. Because I am a poor planner, I miss many
deadlines which has a negative effect on my grades and my job opportunities, which make
me feel miserable about myself and my parents are disappointed in me.
Change is a term that means making something differently. It can be making things
differently in a good way or in a bad way. The first thing that I would like to change about
myself is the fact that I am way to nice to some people. People will most likely tell you that
they are not nice enough or tell you something negative that must be positive but for me it
is different. I am the young of 17 siblings so in my family everyone was always nice to me,
giving me a lot of love. In my friendships also, I always been around people who were nice
with me that’s why I am like that. Being too nice doesn’t make me feel bad, it is a good
thing to be nice. I always got told that people that being too nice can be an inconvenient
ecause some people may take advantage of it.
The second thing that I would like to change is my concentration problem. I did not used to
e like that but since the pandemic I get easily deconcentrated in class. I believe that it is
the same for a lot of students but it’s not good at all because if you are paying attention in
class, you will most likely have a bad grade during the exams.
2. Imagine you are successful at making this change? What will be different?
For example: My grades will go up, I would feel proud and much more satisfied and have
more confidence when applying for jobs. And also, the relationship with my parents will
improve.
If I make a change with my concentration problem, I will learn more in class and have more
grade. I am not saying that I am not paying any attention in class, but I easily get distracted
and even if you are distracted for 5 minutes you can miss something important. Being fully
concentrated in class will only be beneficial for me and my grades.
Making a change on my personality, my kindness will help me to not be used by others. It
will help me to think and differentiate who are around me for my kindness, what I can

to them and who is around me for what I am really are.

To make a change I must make a plan and follow this plan. There is not specific date or
time, I just have to do it and tell myself that this has to be changed for my own good and
for my future.
4.1. What changes do you need to make in your life

For my concentration problem I believe that when I am in class, I should turn off my
phone. I also must seat far away from someone I know because this person will distract
me, or I will distract the person. In class, students are distracted by others, or they
distract other. Being away from ‘’others’’ I know may be a good thing for my
concentration.
For my kindness I must try studying people before letting them enter my life because I
don’t really know their intention.
4.2. What or who can support you to make this change and how?
For example: My friend can help me by studying together (week 3) and my professor
can help me by discussing my planning with me.
My friends or classmates can help me fight the concentration problems because as I said
you don’t get deconcentrated alone but either you get deconcentrated by someone either
you deconcentrate someone.
To avoid being used by others I believe that people around me should warn me when I
open myself to the wrong person or when I do too much for the wrong person.
5. Provide an initial action plan
5.1. Describe your ultimate objective (what you hope to achieve)
My ultimate objective is to be more focused in class and understand that not everyone
is nice as I am.
5.2. Define specific steps you plan on taking to make it happen
To make it happen I have to change my behavior and way of thinking. I have to
understand that some people are opportunist. I also have to understand that at the end
if I am not concentrated it’s only going to be bad for my GPA so I have to force myself
to not use my phone during class or not talk with my classmates.

Everyone around can be a support. In class the best support are my professor.
