Students will compile original poetry to create a poetry portfolio (product/presentation style of their choosing, and style of poems are student selected) showcasing the devices they’ve studied, illustrating proper use of each, appropriate placement within the context of each poem, and overall sophisticated application of each device.  There are several poetic devices that can introduced through direct teach video on the class webpages in the night before launching the group project. All the students will associate with original poetry to design the poetry portfolio – product as well as presentation styles for their selection and style of poems displaying the major devices they have researched, explaining proper utilization of each appropriate placements with the context of each poem.
