Overview
This course explores wellness and its impact on the world around us. Wellness influences society, and society influences wellness, creating a feedback loop
etween them. We will critically analyze this feedback loop in this course through social, historical, and theoretical approaches to wellness as well as the four
general education lenses: history, humanities, natural and applied sciences, and social sciences. Each of these four perspectives allows us to better understand
the construction of wellness and its inte
elation with society. From this enhanced understanding, you will be equipped to draw connections between wellness
and your personal and professional lives, helping you to become a better-informed citizen who can make a positive difference in the world.
Wellness has a pervading influence into many aspects of society, which requires diverse knowledge and perspectives to investigate and change. The purpose of
this project is to examine a specific issue or event in wellness and how it impacts individuals and society through the development of a critical analysis portfolio
and a presentation in which you will demonstrate your ability to think critically, investigate, and communicate clearly. These skills are often necessary to achieve
personal and professional goals across many disciplines.
In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course outcomes:
 Analyze the various components of wellness for investigating their influence of wellness on one’s discipline of study or chosen profession
ï‚· Integrate interdisciplinary approaches for determining the impact contemporary issues in healthcare systems have on modern society
ï‚· Recommend potential applications of strategies for monitoring and enhancing personal and public wellness
ï‚· Assess cultural and social attitudes, choices, and behaviors for their implications to lifelong health and wellness through the incorporation of
diverse perspectives and viewpoints informed by relevant literature and peer experiences

interconnected nature of wellness affects society as well as both your own individual framework of perception and the choices, attitudes, and behaviors of
others in the world around you. You will compile your analyses within a portfolio that will include an analysis of each lens, plus introduction and conclusion
paragraphs. Altogether, this portfolio should be 6 to 8 pages long, not counting references. Within your portfolio, each analysis should be 3 to 5 paragraphs long.
Be sure to support your analyses with appropriate and relevant evidence from theory and research.

Introduction
Healthcare organizations thrive to achieve perfection in achieving the concept of quality of care. However, this is the only segment or sector in which, individual versus collective approach remains as the major challenge to improve the quality of life. The healthcare sector keeps on working to manage the needs and expectations of the diverse population and various age groups (Foxwell, Meghani and Ulrich, 2020). At the same time, managing the conflicts and reaching to the state of resolution forever poses complications before healthcare professionals. The following is the analysis of the palliative care and pain management as the conceptual framework that has been universally applied to alleviate the quality of life in patients suffering from terminal illness in particular. The four lenses discussed in module namely, humanities, natural and applied science, history and social sciences will be examined like how these perspectives view the application of palliative care in the context of pain management and other provisions that patients seek as the remedy to their illness.
Humanities and Palliative Care
At first, it is significant to note here that humanities determine the state of any healthcare concern as something that should have its potential source in the human creation. This is more like a

However, if the design of palliative care is viewed from this perspective, it is evident that the very core strength of healthcare sector depends over producing satisfactory results; positive outcomes are measured only through the achievement of ideal care provided to people and when someone suffers from terminal illness, managing various aspects of care becomes challenging (Genuis, 2017).
The above can be understood by the concept of pain management in palliative care. Patients suffering from some kind of terminal illness at times complain of having severe pain and they demand for quick relief from it. They simply pose emergency situations but healthcare professionals have to maintain the rapport of the clinical assistance that they have committed to the patients and their families. When pain management process is introduced, two folded aspects of care are ca
ied out and in this process, two ends are considered through process of care. The first end belongs obviously to the patient because his or her priority is to get immediate relief from pain but the other end belongs to the clinical professional who has to view all aspects of pain management. It is seen very often that ethical dilemmas emerge before the care professionals with a view to take right step pertaining to address the needs of the patient regarding pain management by remaining fully...
