The book ‘The Thousand and One Nights’, is a compilation of Middle Eastern folk tales. It is in Arabic and set in the Islamic Gold Age. The translated version of the book consists of 588 pages and was brought forth by Sir Richard Francis Burton in the year 2018 with publishers CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform. The book contains work collected by many authors, translators, and scholars across Asia and Africa. This work of literature is the exemplum kind of storytelling. In this, the writers are trying to prove something by giving different examples. The book is focused on a king by the name of Shahryar. His brother and his own wife get killed because of infidelity. His vizier has to supply the king virgins whom he executes the next day. 
When the vizier’s daughter is sent to the king, she tells a story at the time of execution.
