With the emergence and advancement of e commerce and also various liberal return policies, Now a days the return of products are on increasing trend. In this competitive market, it is necessary to address the grievance of customers to maintain brand image of any given product. This also makes it necessary to buyback or replaces any product from seller or customer to give them the requi8red satisfaction and maintain the authencity of the brand image in the market. Customers are now completely aware of the return policies and this is also considered while making the purchase decision. Hence the quantity of products returned is increasing on daily basis. This made it necessary to come up with a procedure in handling the returned products and to minimize the losses suffered from it.
In food and beverage industry, generally the products are perishable in nature and their shell life in very less compared to other products.
