Instructions:
· You must write a 1200 word essay in response to one of the essay questions listed below (+/- 10%).
· This is an academic essay and requires an introduction, a body of discussion based on evidence, proper citations, and a conclusion.
· In your essay, you must quote from at least two academic readings from the unit reading list and at least two other peer-reviewed scholarly sources you find through your own research. This means there needs to be a minimum of four peer-reviewed scholarly sources in your essay. You are welcome to draw on more where necessary.
· You should include properly formatted citations in the body of your essay and a list of references at its conclusion.
· The essay question you choose and the focus of the essay should produce new work for this unit, this means you cannot focus on the same case studies or examples used in assignment 2.
· You are welcome to use images in your essay if relevant. Ensure you properly reference these as figures.

Essay questions:
1. What was Women’s Liberation seeking liberation from? Discuss an example of 1970s feminist activism in Australia in your answer, and in doing so, evaluate its success or failure.
