Bankwest Bank formerly known as the Bank of Western Australia Limited was founded in 1895. Over the years, the service provider achieved little success with its employee recognition and incentive programs. In 2008 Bankwest became a part of the Commonwealth Wealth Group that is the largest financial services provider in Australia. The Global Financial Crisis of 2008-2009 also known as The Great Recession led them to transform their approach by committing to ‘bringing happy banking to all Australians’.
